Slurp! Central Downtime – 17th August, 2017

Dear customers,

We regret that there was an app downtime yesterday (on 17th August), It was an unfortunate event, but rest assured that our team has been working around the clock to resolve this. We sincerely apologize for this technical downtime and it is our outmost priority to ensure such incident does not occur again.

Please be patient with us as we explain briefly what caused the app downtime. Slurp! has selected the enterprise distribution method over AppStore method for Slurp! central which sits on iOS platform. Enterprise distribution method enables Slurp! to roll out updates instantly without the lengthy approval timeframe that Appstore method has. This has enabled us to roll out updates and new features for our customers in a much faster speed without AppStore’s restrictions.

However, yesterday, we ran into major technical issues with enterprise distribution method and this had caused Slurp! Central app downtime.

To prevent this from happening in the future, we will be rectifying our app distribution method – which is to have both options of enterprise distribution and Appstore distribution to ensure there is a 100% continual backup solution. Therefore, in the following month, we will be introducing Slurp! Central to the Appstore. Our team will reach out to you once this alternative option for Slurp! Central is available.

Once again, we understand the effect this incident has on your operations. To show our sincerity, Slurp! would like to offer one complementary consultant/support session (valid until 31st, December 2017) for each of our customers*.
